Broken but not Forgotten
Purchased in July, 2022. Used it a couple of years with no problems. But this year I kept having trouble keeping one of the brushes to stay tight and I was going to really put the squeeze on it and the end broke off. I had already had a plastic piece break out of one of the clamps but I just kept making sure it stayed in while I was using it. But when the end broke off I knew it was time to do something. So I contacted Extend-A-Reach to see if these parts might be available so I could repair it. I got an email stating "I'm truly sorry to hear about what happened to your attachment. This is unacceptable and I will surely get to the bottom it to make sure it will never happen again. I run a small family-owned business and we believe in treating our customers as we would treat our friends. We wouldn't like you to be walking around feeling that you didn't get the full value of your purchase. To make things right, please write to me with your order ID, full shipping information, and a photo of the broken attachment to help understand the issue better." Two days later I received an email stating that a new pole was being shipped out which I received a few days later. Now that's service. There's going to a few problems with most things we buy today. But the key thing is, will the company that sold it do the right thing. This company did. As for how the pole performed, it works great. Clamping system does work. I've had some poles that when locked pole would still slip. I have the pole that extends to 18'. At that height it wiggles and wobbles a little bit but no bent pole. Overall a good product and good people to back it up.

    The pole is very good and seems like it's solid enough to last. But, I'm giving it 4 stars because the locks are a bit "plasticky" and I don't know how long they will last. I would have loved to give it a 5 star rating but the locks would need to be more solidly made for me to do that. I'll see if I remember to give this an update after a few months of use and maybe I'll change the rating then since the quality seems good otherwise. It's definitely worth the money though, compared to other ones I have had. And the length is great, which is what I needed in order to wash my motorhome without using a ladder.

    It worked as intended though it is fairly wobbly when totally extended (which I expected). I measured 30 inches of droop (fully extended) when the handle is held flat on a horizontal surface. This means the top half can swing at least 60 inches (5 feet) back and forth and would probably swing more with a heavy attachment. At half extension (main handle and next widest extension extended) the amount of droop was 5.5 inches.

    Construction is fair to good and I expect it will last a long time if not abused or left out in the sun. The end being metal is good. A plastic screw end would be a bad idea.

    I expect this could be used as an antenna mast in a pinch.
