  • Your code might not work on leonardos/micros, but in any case they don't use pins 0 and 1 to upload so I believe you should be able to upload while the HC-06 is plugged in with either of those. Commented Apr 16, 2015 at 3:45

    You might be able to electrically "remove" the blueooth module if it has a distinct reset line you can hold asserted, but unplugging it would be conceptually simplest. Commented Apr 17, 2015 at 3:52
