Mmh ok so I should try if my mouse works with the adapter prior to buying the stuff for the Arduino, right ?

@ThomasKowalski Yes. I would see if you can find a datasheet for your mouse (or at least a spec sheet) which should tell you its capabilities.

Well I tried to find a datasheet or something but I didn't find anything on Google. And I didn't find anything about backwards compatibility for PS/2. Anyway it's there if it can help.

I would say it's "unlikely" at best. Better to buy a cheap PS/2 mouse and have done with it.
