For this project the main communication module is actually a GSM unit and I was using the ESP8266 simply for eavesdropping/debugging purposes. I am still curious to know what the proper procedure is. I've had to do something similar before and no doubt I'll have to do so again. It feels hacky to simply drop the power on the ESP and I am just curious to find a better/best practice. | |
