    Have you tested to find out at what length it doesn't work? "short" and "long" are not specific values, but if you can find out the maximum tweet length that doesn't work, you have made a lot of progress in determining the problem and solution. Commented Nov 28, 2017 at 17:08

  • it would be MUCH easier to program the ESP and leave the UNO out of the equation: far more RAM+CPU, only one sketch, no messy serial parsing, better error handling, etc. Commented Nov 28, 2017 at 19:12
