i have applied this but it blinks, it doesnt stop ...i want it to stop after lighting for a few seconds

The loop function as its name suggests will happen over and over again. You need to set a flag. e.g. An integer that counts how many time the loop has been executed. Then an if statement to check and operate accordingly
