    Pardon? Execute what from the IDE? On Linux at a BASH terminal prompt I typed, precisely, /home/matt/Downloads/arduino-1.8.5/arduino and it gave me that error on the screen as the IDE loaded. I doubt you can do the same on Windows though... Commented Oct 11, 2018 at 13:07
