This is what I expected to see, I'll give it a shot; could be how I have things setup or a problem with the board itself. Luckily, I have a couple Micros on the way as they better suit my project in the end.Brendan Lesniak– Brendan Lesniak2019-01-06 04:41:43 +00:00Commented Jan 6, 2019 at 4:41

Well, it's definitely the board. Running your code, both numbers still track each other, even when I have a single Pot changing the values. Thanks for the help and the test code. I'll accept this after a bit here.Brendan Lesniak– Brendan Lesniak2019-01-06 04:44:24 +00:00Commented Jan 6, 2019 at 4:44

You need to have a pot in each input at the same time for a valid test.Nick Gammon– Nick Gammon ♦2019-01-06 04:50:19 +00:00Commented Jan 6, 2019 at 4:50

Your joystick would, of course, do that. Your problem might be that you are testing with a single pot, and such a test is not reproducing the live situation correctly.Nick Gammon– Nick Gammon ♦2019-01-06 04:51:15 +00:00Commented Jan 6, 2019 at 4:51

Ah yeah I can give that a shot too, that would make too much sense actually. I'll try that out here tomorrow.Brendan Lesniak– Brendan Lesniak2019-01-06 05:23:19 +00:00Commented Jan 6, 2019 at 5:23

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. arduino-uno), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
