yeah I've got full control over Android app and basically marrying it together with a bord won't be a problem.Ivan– Ivan2019-06-18 09:54:31 +00:00Commented Jun 18, 2019 at 9:54

I'm a bit puzzled now. Cuz ATMega32U4 is used in Arduino Micro and Leonardo which I believed are not able to be host devices. By reading docs I was leaning to Arduino Due, cuz the documentation for USBHost class specifically says the class is compatible with Due model only.Ivan– Ivan2019-06-18 09:57:55 +00:00Commented Jun 18, 2019 at 9:57

@Ivan You want the Android device to be the host.Majenko– Majenko2019-06-18 09:58:21 +00:00Commented Jun 18, 2019 at 9:58

Not exactly, I'd like it to be slave and a bord act as a host.Ivan– Ivan2019-06-18 09:59:14 +00:00Commented Jun 18, 2019 at 9:59

1AOA is supported in Arduino (or was) but it is called ADK. arduino.cc/en/Guide/ArduinoADK. The last time anyone was excited about this was 2012. The USB Host Shield Library 2.0 has references to ADK as does the Due USB host library github.com/arduino-libraries/USBHost/tree/master/examples/…. Whether Arduino ADK still works, I do not know. BLE or WiFi are better options to communicate with an Android device.gdsports– gdsports2019-06-21 02:35:21 +00:00Commented Jun 21, 2019 at 2:35

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. arduino-uno), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
