Return to Base and Noisy Neighbors are the first quests of Chapter 3, "Home Sweet Slum", in Final Fantasy VII Remake, taking place in the Sector 7 Slums. After Avalanche arrive at the Sector 7 Slums, Barret Wallace instructs Cloud Strife to meet the rest of them at Seventh Heaven, where Tifa Lockhart works. After Tifa takes Cloud to his apartment in Stargazer Heights, Cloud is awoken by a neighbor next door.

The quest begins after leaving the train, and Barret tells Cloud to meet him at Seventh Heaven. Head out to the Sector 7 Undercity Station, where several non-player characters can be approached to listen in on optional dialogue. The goal is to head out into the plaza (west on the map), then take a linear path through wooden barricades. At the end of the barricade path, a cutscene commences with a resident who tears down posters. Following this, Biggs, Wedge, and Jessie Rasberry can be seen. Follow them to Seventh Heaven.
Cloud gives Tifa the flower.
Outside Seventh Heaven, Cloud will meet with Tifa and give her the yellow flower, then head inside. After this, Barret, Marlene Wallace, or Tifa can be talked to in order to proceed; talking to Marlene will continue the quest, while the others will simply direct Cloud to Marlene. Tifa then tells Cloud to talk to her outside, and leads Cloud to the apartment in Stargazer Heights. Follow her to room 202, Cloud's room, and then interact with the door to begin a cutscene. After a conversation, Cloud sleeps, leading into the next quest, "Noisy Neighbors".
Noisy Neighbors[]
This quest begins when Cloud wakes up, hearing a noise. Simply use the door to leave the room, and head to the room on the left and open it. This begins a cutscene, following which, "Life in the Slums" begins.
