Guns have the advantages of range, but damage is less compared to swords. The Valiant uses powerful bullets to cause damage comparable to swords.

Valiant (バリアント, Barianto?) is a recurring weapon in the Final Fantasy series. It is often a low-ranked gun, usually being the weakest gun available when it appears.

Final Fantasy VIII[]

The Valiant is the starting and weakest weapon for Irvine, providing 12 Attack and 105 Hit Rate. It can be remodeled at junk shops by using 100 gil, a Steel Pipe, and Screw x4. However, there is no benefit in remodeling to a weaker version of a weapon.

Final Fantasy XV[]

Firearms can be equipped by Noctis and Prompto. Unlike in other games, it is not the weakest gun. Cid Sophiar can upgrade it with an Earth Gemstone, a common item found in Cleigne.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia[]

Valiant (VIII) is a 5★ Gun for Irvine that enables access to the ability Crack Shot. It provides 94 HP, 49 DEF, 145-220 iBRV, 1978-2683 mBRV, 629-854 ATK, and adds 15-30 CP.
