I'm so glad you recommended this. I've been looking for something like that for quite a while now. sendmail's configuration is just way too differentiated for my needs.

create code fences with backticks ` or tildes ~

like so

put returns between paragraphs
for linebreak add 2 spaces at end

indent code by 4 spaces
backtick escapes `like _so_`
quote by placing > at start of line
to make links (use https whenever possible)
