Bernie Mac has been chosen to receive the ShoWest 2005 Comedy Star of the Year Award at ShoWest's closing-night ceremonies March 17, it was announced Monday by Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of the convention, which begins March 14 at the Bally's and Paris hotels in Las Vegas.
