Shields upped at Sony
Corey Shields has been named senior vp communications at Sony BMG Music Entertainment. He replaces Keith Estabrook, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. Shields is based in New York and reports to Sony BMG Music Entertainment CEO Andrew Lack. He most recently was chief communications officer and executive vp at ad agency J. Walter Thompson.
David Kaminow has been promoted to executive vp worldwide research at Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group. Kaminow, who joined the studio two years ago, will continue to oversee the domestic and international marketing research for Columbia Pictures, Revolution Studios, TriStar and Screen Gems.
Robin Seidner D'Elia has been promoted to senior vp national television promotions and marketing at New Line Cinema. Based in New York, Seidner D'Elia continues to serve as a liaison between the company's television and film groups, and she oversees marketing for New Line TV's syndication division. She has been at New Line since 1995.
Lewis Oberlander has been promoted to senior vp domestic marketing research at Warner Bros. Pictures. Oberlander oversees the preparation and analysis of research projects related to Warners' film slate. Oberlander, who was vp domestic marketing research, joined Warners in 1998 from Buena Vista Pictures.
Victor Zaraya has been upped to senior vp finance and operations at Razor & Tie Entertainment, overseeing strategic and financial planning along with day-to-day operations of the finance, production, direct-response services and human resources departments. Zaraya was vp finance and operations. Sebouh Yegparian has been promoted from vp sales to senior vp sales at the company. Zaraya and Yegparian report to Razor & Tie co-owners Craig Balsam and Cliff Chenfeld.
Suzanne Cole has been promoted to senior vp media at Universal Pictures. Cole is chief strategist for media planning for Universal's film marketing campaigns and for Universal Studios Home Entertainment's DVD and video releases. She has developed media plans for more than 100 theatrical and home entertainment titles.
Patricia Steele has been named senior vp communications at Atari. Steele will be responsible for the interactive entertainment company's media relations, corporate positioning, branding and all other related activities. Steele had been executive vp corporate communications at NBC.
Greg Thompson has been named executive vp marketing at Island Def Jam Music Group. Thompson, who was executive vp and general manager at Elektra Entertainment Group, will oversee Island Def Jam's marketing, sales and publicity departments. Based in New York, Thompson reports to Island Records president Steve Bartels.
Ryan Gagerman has been named vp international consumer products at DIC Entertainment. Gagerman, who has spent 10 years at DIC, will be responsible for managing worldwide publishing agents and licensees as well as DIC's international licensing programs.

Spring promoted at Paramount
Sara Spring has been promoted to senior vp feature production management at Paramount Pictures. Spring, who joined Paramount in 1997, will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day physical production of feature films, guiding films from the budgeting process and scheduling through the completion of principal photography.
Alina Falcon has been named executive vp and operating manager at Univision Network. She oversees all programming, promotions, talent relations and news for Univision's Spanish-language broadcast network, reporting to Ray Rodriguez, Univision Communication president and chief operating officer. Falcon started with Univision in 1984 as a producer at its WLTV-TV Miami station.
Steve Caplan has been promoted to executive vp at the Association of Independent Commercial Producers, where he will oversee all communications as well as the trade group's external affairs. Caplan was senior vp external affairs at AICP, which represents commercial producers in labor negotiations, business circles and within the advertising community.
CBS has promoted five executives in its marketing group from vp to senior vp status. Kathie Broyles is creative director for all print and outdoor advertising. Kathie Culleton is responsible for media planning, buying and scheduling for the group's marketing activities on behalf of CBS, UPN, King World Prods., Paramount Television, Infinity Broadcasting and Viacom Outdoor. Jeff Kreiner is creative director responsible for adverting and promotion of CBS News. Ileene Mittleman is responsible for East Coast operations of the advertising and creative services department. Jack Parmeter is responsible for creative and production aspects of CBS on-air promotions.
Marney Hochman Nash has been promoted to senior vp scripted programming at Fox Television Studios, which is expanding its slate of series and limited series. Hochman Nash has been with FtvS for five years, most recently as senior vp creative affairs for its alternative department.
George Levendis has been appointed senior vp global marketing at Sony BMG Music Entertainment. Levendis was managing director and CEO of Heaven Music/Antenna Entertainment, a Greek independent music firm. He will report to Tim Prescott, Sony BMG Global Marketing Group executive vp and chief marketing officer, and will be based in New York.
Jason Owen has been promoted to senior vp media, artist relations and creative services at Universal Music Nashville's Mercury, MCA Nashville and DreamWorks Nashville labels. Owen was vp media and artist relations at Mercury and MCA Nashville. He is based in Nashville and reports to Universal Music Nashville co-chairmen Luke Lewis and James Stroud.
Sam Toles has been appointed vp development of the home entertainment unit at FremantleMedia. Based in Santa Monica, Toles will be charged with managing FremantleMedia's current home entertainment catalog. Before joining FremantleMedia, Toles was director of marketing and acquisitions at Rhino Home Video.

Brock named vp at 20th Century Fox
Chris Brock has been named vp business affairs at 20th Century Fox. Brock, previously director of business affairs, was senior business and legal affairs executive at Film Four in London from 2000-02. Before that, he was a lawyer in the Fox legal department from 1997-2000, where he held the titles of counsel and senior counsel.
Doug McClure has been appointed senior vp legal and business affairs at 2929 Prods. He reports to company president Marc Butan, who made the announcement. McClure joins 2929 after nine years with First Look Media/Overseas Filmgroup, where he served as general counsel and senior vp business and legal affairs.
Mike Mulvihill has been promoted to senior vp content development at New Line Home Entertainment, focusing on new technologies such as high definition. Mulvihill joined the company in 1994 and serves as the key liaison with video postproduction. He heads the development of New Line's DVDs, including the premium Platinum Series brand.
Gary Greenstein has been named general counsel for digital performance rights organization SoundExchange. Greenstein, who was most recently vp business and legal affairs for the RIAA, will be based in Washington.
Jennifer Grisanti has been appointed vp current programming at Paramount Network Television. Grisanti will oversee day-to-day creative activities on a range of Paramount-produced series, working closely with division president David Stapf and executive vp Maria Crenna. Before joining Paramount, Grisanti was executive director of current programming at Spelling Television. Jocelyn Freid, a former development executive at Warner Bros. TV and the Firm, also has joined Paramount's current programming department as a consultant.
Todd Green has been promoted to senior vp affiliate marketing and Judi Lopez to senior vp Eastern region at Rainbow Network Sales. The newly created positions are part of a strategic reorganization announced in December that centralized into one department all of the affiliate sales and marketing for all Rainbow Media brands, including cable networks AMC, IFC and WE: Women's Entertainment. Green was vp national accounts and affiliate marketing at Rainbow, while Lopez was vp Eastern and Western regions. Both will report to Rainbow Network Sales president Gregg Hill.
Stuart Rubin has been appointed senior vp Sony BMG Music Entertainment's International Catalog Marketing Group, where he is responsible for directing worldwide marketing efforts for Sony BMG's catalog labels and divisions, including Legacy, US Strategic Marketing Projects, RCA Victor and RLG Nashville. Rubin previously was senior vp of BMG's International Commercial Group. Tim Fraser-Harding and Lyn Koppe have been named vps marketing, and Roger Menz has been named vp strategic projects in the same division. Fraser-Harding, who is based in the United Kingdom, most recently was vp catalog marketing for Sony Music International. Koppe was vp commercial marketing for BMG's International Catalog Group. Menz was vp strategic projects for BMG's International Catalog Group.

Hendricks upped at Post Logic Studios
Steve Hendricks has been named president and CEO of Post Logic Studios. He will oversee day-to-day operations and new business development for the postproduction firm. Hendricks most recently has been working as a consultant. In the 1990s, he worked with Virgin Group chief Richard Branson to launch Virgin Digital Studios, which was acquired in 2000 by Liberty Media.
Eric Levin has been appointed president and CEO of Voy Network, an upcoming English-language cable/satellite channel targeting Hispanic viewers. Levin spent 14 years in senior management positions with HBO. Voy also has promoted John Ovrutsky to chief operating officer. The cable-industry veteran joined Voy last year as executive vp marketing and distribution.
Don McGregor has been appointed vp liaison based in London for NBC Universal International Television Distribution. Martine Meunier has been named director liaison based in Paris for the same division. McGregor oversees free and pay TV sales of NBC Universal programming in Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Israel. Meunier is responsible for managing NBC Uni's television sales in Central and Eastern Europe.
Arturo Barquethas joined Universal Pictures as senior vp production finance, reporting to Uni chief financial officer Patti Hutton. Barquet will coordinate all financing for specific Uni projects and all theatrical stage productions. He most recently worked as chief financial officer and senior vp business and legal affairs at Arenas Entertainment.
Brenda Freeman has been named vp consumer marketing at VH1. She will oversee all off-channel marketing for the Viacom-owned cabler and be involved in setting strategies for integrated marketing and advertising sales agreements. Freeman joins VH1 after serving as vp affiliate marketing for the entertainment group within VH1's MTV Networks parent division.
Brad Jamison has been named vp corporate communications for ABC Television Network. He will oversee communications strategies for ABC's community outreach efforts, diversity programs and philanthropic initiatives. Jamison joins ABC from public-relations firm Edelman, where he served as vp consumer brands and represented such entertainment industry concerns as the Recording Academy, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and the National Association of Broadcasters.

Blake named senior vp at Scholastic
Juliet Blake has been named senior vp television programming and development at Scholastic Entertainment. Blake joins Scholastic after serving as president of Jim Henson Television U.S., where she helped develop the NBC telefilm "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" and was an executive producer of the Sci Fi Channel series "Farscape." Blake reports to Scholastic Entertainment president Deborah Forte.
Linda Schupack has been appointed senior vp marketing at AMC. Schupack will direct all marketing efforts for the movie-driven cable channel, reporting to Rainbow Entertainment Services president Ed Carroll. Before shifting to AMC, Schupack was senior vp creative services for AMC's Rainbow Entertainment parent company.
Court TV has promoted two executives in its daytime programming department. Tim Sullivan, who most recently was vp daytime programming, has been upped to senior vp, managing day-to-day responsibilities of the network's trial coverage and news stories. He joined the cable network in 1992. In addition, Wendy Whitman has been promoted from executive producer to senior executive producer, coordinating live daytime coverage and managing the daily production of the trials being covered by Court TV. She joined the network in 1995.
Jim Davey has been named senior vp global consumer products marketing and planning at Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products. Tanya Haider has been appointed vp of Nickelodeon/Viacom's international consumer products division. Davey previously was vp toys and marketing at Nickelodeon. Haider previously was vp strategy and business development at Nickelodeon Networks.
Craig Kurland has been promoted to vp business affairs at NBC Universal Television Studio. Kurland, previously director of business affairs, joined NBC Studios in 2001 after working in the law firm of Troop, Steuber, Pasich, Reddick & Tobey. Philip Matthys has been promoted to director of business affairs after previously working as a counsel for divisions within NBC Universal. Kurland and Matthys report to Rick Olshansky, NBC Universal TV Studio's executive vp business affairs.
Faye Katz has been promoted to vp entertainment public relations at Showtime. Based in New York, Katz, who had been director of consumer PR, will oversee publicity for the network's key original series and movie programming. She reports to Robin McMillan, senior vp public relations at Showtime.
Darren Schillace has been promoted to vp advertising and marketing at ABC. Schillace oversees all paid media and marketing efforts at ABC Entertainment, including the development of creative advertising. He joined ABC as director of advertising in 2003. Victoria Chew has been promoted to director of marketing, focusing on alternative marketing initiatives. Schillace and Chew report to Mike Benson and Marla Provencio, ABC's senior vps marketing, advertising and promotion.
Peter Vesey has been named national sales manager at Fox-owned action sports network Fuel. Vesey will develop integrated advertising and marketing opportunities involving Fuel programming and sponsored events. Vesey joins Fuel after working as advertising director at Comcast's G4 Media.
