If a professor allows a well behaving student to bring his/her project late because of a valid reason; tomorrow another student will use this as a precedent and will ask for an extension for a reason that is probably a lie. | |

I wouldn't complain about that to the professor, but in conversations with other students it would obviously come up. | |

OP mentioned students are saying he is not considerate or fair. If OP doesn't really bother about it, then this is the way to go. | |
