I have Carpal Tunnel in both wrists and Dupuytren's Contracture in both hands. I love baking! I have had a hand-held flour sifter for most of my adult life. Now at 63 yrs old, I no longer have the ability to squeeze the handle anymore.

So, I purchased this Rotary Hand Sifter. WOW! What a difference!

It is stainless steel. So that means no odors or bacteria forming on it. It glides smoothly. And it has a fine mesh screen that is reinforced at the bottom.

Although it is compact....it holds up to 5 cups of flour at one time. And you can use it over and over. Never gets jammed! NO LUMPS!

You will be pleased with this purchase. Satisfaction is guaranteed...so how can you go wrong!!

This sifter works very well - realistically, handles 3-4 cups of flour or confectionary sugar without spilling or making a mess, plus is no struggle to sift. I just made 10 pound cake recipes and many multiples of buttercream icing for my daughter's 5 tier wedding cake and I couldn't have been happier with this sifter. Works great, cleans up well and is so much easier than the shaking method (which is really only effective for a small amount of product). Completely recommend this product!

This is what a sifter is supposed to be: well built, sturdy and with some heft. The first one I got was a 3-cup; it was so teensy and flimsy I sent it back within minutes of getting it. OK so some may say they don't want or need 8 cups, but since when do you fill a sifter to the brim! Plenty of room to lower a measuring cup a little ways in to reduce spillage. The other good point is that the sifter blade, wire, whatever you call it, gently touches the screen.

It's stainless steel but I'm not going to push my luck and run it in the dishwasher.

Disclosure: I bought this sifter with my own hard earned money. Nobody gave me a discount or anything else for my review. "Free product" reviews, imo, are bogus.

So far it works good. I have a small low carb bakery business and need a sifter for every batch of muffins I make. The only thing I don't like is the handle is too think for my hand, makes it hard to hold onto and grasp. Digs into my hand since it's so wide, so I have to either wrap silicone around it or wrap a towel around it. The crank is a little stiff but that's too be expected since it's brand new, hoping it will loosen up as time goes on.

I bought this sifter to use with a home-made coffee roasting device which uses air from a hot-air gun (the kind use to strip paint). Coffee beans would catch between the blades and the top of the screen, so I had to remove it and hammer out a metal ridge. It then worked for the most part, but still had some catch, but was useable. This sifter is really large, and seems to be well made; very sturdy. Some reviewers mentioned that the blades did not touch the sifter screen; mine did not have that issue. Perhaps that is just a slight variation in manufacturing, so some may have that problem, and others not. I would highly recommend this sifter for the intended use, but not so much for coffee roasting :)

I have had a squeeze sifter for a very long time. It is hard to squeeze and very difficult to clean. This new crank sifter is easy to use and is easy to clean. It is well made and heavy duty. I would like to have another one just for powdered sugar. Great buy.

As some have noted before some brands of crank sifters have "Loose Screens", Like the one I returned to a local merchant. I was determined to find a sifter like the one I used growing up in which the screen was in contact with most of the rotating "Wire" and not just at the bottom.

The Chef Giant 5 Cup I received does an amazing job of sifting, It dumps a blizzard of flour into the bowl with just a few turns of the crank! The screen does not fit closely but it does not matter because this sifter does a "Fine" job.

I order this with the one day service and and it arrived as planned. I opened the package and found what appeared to be a very undersized sifter. Did I order the wrong size? I wanted the 5 Cup. I got down my flour and started filling it using a measuring cup and in fact as small as this sifter appears it does just hold five cups.

I now appreciate the smaller size because of limited space in my kitchen and the bottom of the sifter narrows down which means more flour in the bowl and less on the counter. So I am very pleased with this Chef Giant 5 Cup Sifter, I would recommend it to others.

I had been using a strainer, and this sifter is a huge improvement. The mesh is fine but also quick and easy to use. For those reviewers who've had difficulty, I can't imagine what they were trying to sift. I am using it primarily with freeze-dried vegetables that have been run through a food processor, then sifting that mixture to produce a very fluffy powder. This sifter is easy to clean by flipping it over and reaching into the bottom edges. Love the extra paddles that work hard with every turn of the crank.

I was surprised how large this is...however, the large size makes it very convenient and fast to use. I like it and it works well.

My wife ordered this sifter to replace a smaller one we had that operated by squeezing the handles. She had been finding it tiring to use as she got older and her hands weaker, so when the spring broke in it, she decided to buy one that operated by turning a handle, like the one we had 40 years ago.

One thing she didn't notice when she ordered it was that it was to be despatched from China, so it took a long time to arrive- very scrappy packaging, but undamaged.

The quality is outstanding and the sifter can be used for small to large quantities. Would definitely buy again!

This is just what I needed for large batches of cookies. Well made, and crank very easy to turn. No challenges for these arthritic hands! Thank you!
