We've added a Starter Packs tab to search, making it easier to find people to follow. Additionally, if you've been added to a Starter Pack, we've added the option to remove yourself from it. Posts in a thread are now automatically numbered, so you don't have to do it yourself.

v1.130 is live! Want to follow someone for their posts but not their reposts? Now you can — turn on "Hide reposts in feeds" for any account you follow. We also added thread numbering: Posts in a thread are numbered automatically, so you don't have to do it yourself. You can turn this on in Settings → Beta Features.

You can now reply to specific messages in group chats and DMs. Swipe a message to reply. Group chats are our first community feature on Bluesky, and we're just getting started.

We have a big update for you this week! Group chats are here. You can now start a private chat with up to 50 people. Make an invite link, drop it on Bluesky, share it anywhere. Your group, your people. We also added a new share button to your profile. Tap it to get a personalized QR code that links straight to you. Stick it anywhere and people can scan it to find you on Bluesky.

You can now attach up to 10 photos in your posts! We heard your feedback: any posts with up to 4 photos will appear in the original grid layout. Posts with more than 4 photos will appear in a new-and-improved carousel with numbering badges so it's clear how many photos are on each post.

This release features a better way to discover and share articles, blog posts, and newsletters across the Atmosphere via new, dynamic @standard.site link cards. Participating publishers and websites (such as leaflet.pub, pckt.blog, and offprint.app) now support these new link cards when shared on Bluesky. Also included in this release: added support for “going live” with YouTube, Substack, and Beehiiv; improved GIF search; a refreshed photo viewer; and lots of bug fixes.

We've made some improvements to photos: posts with multiple photos now appear in a carousel, and larger photo sizes are now supported so you can show off your artwork or photography in all its glory.

Better recommendations for who to follow, plus fixes to search, feed refreshing, and posting to make things run more smoothly.

Bot labels are here. Users who run an automated account can now add a badge to their profile so others know what's a bot and what's not. We also snuck in some small updates like improved suggestions for who to follow, better audio quality in videos, and various bug fixes.

We're working on some exciting new features and we can't wait to share more very soon. In the meantime, this release contains a few highly requested things such as: - Support for Bandcamp embeds - The ability to convert a Starter Pack to a List - A "Renew" button for expired mute words And of course a whole bunch of bug fixes and performance improvements.

Drafts are finally here! For all the overthinkers and perfectionists out there. We've updated our welcome screen with some fresh artwork by @odpomery.bsky.social, an artist from the Bluesky community. Plus, we improved how GIFs display in posts so that they appear more like classic GIFs (autoplaying without sound) and not like videos. Oh, and there are a bunch of performance improvements and a couple bug fixes too, of course.

Live Now is in open beta! Anyone can now add a temporary LIVE badge to their avatar, helping others discover that they're currently live-streaming on Twitch. Cashtags are finally here. Think hashtags, but for stocks. Now you can see everyone else's equally unqualified analysis! Plus, we've squeezed in some bug fixes and performance improvements to make the app feel a bit snappier.
