Sometimes auto battlers can feel a little lightweight, but Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot is anything but. Send a fearsome band of dwarves on raids, customise all their equipment and enjoy the detailed, teeny tiny pixel art in this fantastical roguelike.
What we love: There’s great variety in the gear you can collect for your dwarf raiders. It’s incredibly satisfying to mix and match shields, axes, wizard hats – you name it, it’s probably something you can add to your dwarves before you send them into battle. It’s all about experimenting to make some unique specialisations.

Quick tip: Sell any gear you don’t need to earn Gold, which you can spend on better equipment or recruiting additional dwarves. And don’t be afraid to lose a run: each defeat is an opportunity to rethink your class combinations, equipment and formation before diving back in.
Meet the creator: Hamma Studios is a one-person indie developer based in Austria. Dwarves: Glory, Death and Loot is the studio’s first game, initially made as a side project. After selling 300,000 copies, the developer was able to work on games full time, rather than as a cool hobby.
