Fix an blip with a UI lag on some iPhones

## Blips - Implement a fix for the CLI which sometimes crashed while editing tasks, or wouldn’t let you edit tasks in lists (thanks for the feedback, Nicolas!) - Implemented a fix where notifications weren’t being received on the Mac - Temporarily turned off Tidy Up as a feature, will make available again soon! - Implemented a fix during sign up / sign in where it would continue to show the Set Username screen thanks for the feedback, Joe!)

- Introducing Siri AI for Stuff (iOS 27+) - You can now create tasks in Stuff simply by asking Siri to do so (”Remind me to do the laundry tomorrow in Stuff”). Over time, Siri can learn your preferences, and automatically default to Stuff as your task manager, so you won’t always need to say “in Stuff” at the end of commands. - Edit or get information about Lists and Tasks that are currently on screen (e.g. “Schedule this list for tomorrow” while viewing a list) - Add multiple tasks, and create lists, with a single request (e.g. “What would I need to bring on a trip to Tokyo?” … Siri replies … “Add those items to a new list in Stuff called Trip to Tokyo”) - Try speaking naturally with Siri about your desired interaction with Stuff, and let me know how it goes! - Introducing Tidy Up (available for iPhone 18) - Stuff can now proactively suggest improvements to your tasks to help you keep organized, both in your backlog and in tasks as you create them! - While adding tasks, Stuff uses on-device Apple Intelligence to proactively recommend Lists, Spaces, or Tags to which this task might belong - While Stuff is open on your device, Tidy Up runs in the background and scans your tasks for suggestions of Dependencies, List moves, Tags, Plans, etc. Access all of the suggestions from your Launchpad > Action Menu > Tidy Up. - When your Today is overfilled with Tasks, Stuff proactively scans your tasks for Today and recommends Re-Planning some tasks based on priority - Stuff is now available in French and Spanish, in addition to just English! More languages to come! - In your Settings in Stuff, you can also choose if you want Stuff to use the System language, or manually override with something of your own choice. - You can now drag Spaces and Lists around on the Launchpad, including moving Lists into and out of Spaces, so your Launchpad can stay arranged in exactly the way you expect. - You can now edit List Templates! Just tap on a template, tap Edit, and change anything from the Space, Tags, Name, Icon, even add and rearrange tasks and headings. - Also, List Templates can now be assigned a Space to which they’ll always be created - Introducing the Stuff CLI - On Mac, Stuff now comes bundled with a CLI (Command Line Interface), which is particularly helpful for interacting with your data with your Agents! - The Stuff CLI can create tasks, query for tasks, update task statuses and other metadata, trash tasks, and more - After installing the CLI, ask your agents for interesting data, like: “When am I most productive?”, “Summarize what I completed in the last month”, or “Give me insights on my procrastination patterns” - The CLI is available for Extra Stuff members - Better Navigation on Mac - Forward/Back buttons (or use Cmd-[ or Cmd-]) - You can now press Shift-Cmd-J on Mac to highlight the currently-active list on the sidebar - Breadcrumbs in the title bar give you a better sense of where you are - You can now paste using Cmd-V anywhere in Stuff, and your clipboard will be added as a task - Pro tip: if you copy formatted Markdown tasks, you can also paste these into Stuff - You can also *drag* text into Stuff from another app to have it create tasks LOTS more features, and blip fixes. See the full changes at themitycompany.com/changelog

## Smaller features - You can now drag Tasks onto In Progress in the sidebar to mark them as In Progress without changing their List or Space. - You can now press Shift-Return on Mac to add a new line in multiline text fields, while Return continues to submit. - You can now use the Up and Down Arrow keys to move through proposed Tasks in Listen or Scan Mode, press Return to edit the selected name, and use Escape to step back through editing and selection. - You can now add a Quick Plan to a selected proposed Task before adding it. ## Blips - Stuff is now faster and more performant. Clicking/tapping around on Lists from the sidebar on Mac and iPad is much snappier. - Updated Empty Trash so everything clears from view together, newly trashed items still appear normally, and the previous contents return if deletion fails. - Fixed a blip where dragging Tasks between date sections could stop working partway through a drag. - Removed an inconspicuous border on proposed tags text on Mac - Fixed a blip where the Lists Chipcard didn’t always show Lists from Search, or could show deleted items. - Fixed a blip where Quick Plan shortcuts could stop responding after collapsing a selected Task with Escape on Mac. - Fixed a blip where pressing Return after searching for and choosing a List or Space didn’t save the selection and close the Chipcard. - Updated the Mac sidebar with a cleaner, more compact design and easier row, disclosure, and options-menu interactions. - Fixed a blip where Today’s Hide Upcoming filter didn’t always refresh after a Task’s reminder time changed on another device. - Fixed a blip where pressing Return after searching for and choosing a Tag or Dependency didn’t save the selection and close the Chipcard. - Updated the iPhone and iPad Home Screen **Leave Feedback** quick action to start an email to The Mity Company instead of opening Stuff’s feedback screen. - Fixed a blip where setting or changing a Dependency on a collapsed Task could change its status without actually saving the Dependency.

### Smaller Features - You can now send feedback right from your Mailbox. ### Blips - Fixed a blip where Settings toggles that need permission, like Calendar, Reminders importing, and Notifications, could turn on, ask for permission, then turn themselves back off in a loop until Stuff was restarted. - Fixed a blip where opening the Trash Bin could freeze or crash when it contained Tasks whose original List or Heading was no longer available. - Fixed link detection when emoji, accented characters, or non-Latin text appear before a link in Stuff. - Fixed a blip where adding or editing a Dependency could lose the connection when the other Task wasn’t currently loaded, and tightened up undo so it restores the Dependency and Task status accurately. - Fixed a blip where the completed or cancelled date could disappear after marking an expanded Task complete or cancelled. - Improved searching in Dependency and List or Space Chipcards so results keep up more smoothly while you type, especially when you have lots of stuff. - Fixed a few Mac keyboard shortcut blips around Chipcards: Command-P now reliably opens Plan while adding Tasks, and Return and Escape now behave consistently—including letting search handle them first while it’s open. - Polished Chipcards so they line up with Add Tasks, with matching width and tighter spacing around their floating toolbar. - Polished the Launchpad on iPhone by bringing its content a little closer to the top of the screen. - Fixed a blip where typing the first character of a new password while creating an account also filled it into the confirmation field. - Polished the Launchpad so the Collections and Spaces & Lists section labels line up neatly with their row icons.

### Blips - Fixed an issue with drag and drop not always saving drop location. On the bright side, drag and drop is now much smoother, faster, and more performant. - Fixed a blip where items with a Deadline but no Plan could be treated like future planned work instead of staying available in Anytime.

### New Features - Hide Upcoming now works on Today, too. When it’s on, Today keeps Tasks with future reminder times tucked away until their reminder time arrives, while Tasks with no reminder time stay visible. *(thanks for the suggestion, Stephen!)* - Today’s Calendar now has a new scrolling layout with compact timed-event tiles, an all-day and multi-day event area, and a future-date picker tile for jumping into a single-day view. ### Smaller Features - Launchpad Trays (the Inbox and Today trays) now reflect the In Progress or Dependent state of tasks inside of them. - Inbox and Today now have a dotted background on iPhone. - Deadline’s Mac keyboard shortcut is now Shift-Command-P instead of Option-Command-P, so Plan and Deadline sit together more naturally on the keyboard. - The Hole Punch Menu now shows buttons for all detected data in the task notes, including multiple phone numbers or URLs, and provides them all as available actions. - Today’s Calendar has a new scrolling strip with compact timed-event tiles, a clearer all-day and multi-day event area, and a future-date picker tile for jumping to another day. - Tapping into a date from Today now opens a single-day view with that day’s Tasks, repeating Tasks, and Calendar events together. - Today’s Action Menu now includes convenient Settings access to Show / Hide Calendar - Quick Actions has a smoother pull-down interaction and a refreshed search card. - Chipcards now use a new floating toolbar across Stuff, with a cancel button on the left and a save checkmark on the right. This should make it easier to dismiss them on smaller devices like the iPhone, and clearer when you want to save vs. dismiss! - A few new little icons scattered throughout. - There’s now a “Just moved out” section on the In Progress view, so you can easily mark tasks off without them disappearing from the view entirely. ### Blips - Smoothed out the animation for Quick Actions appearing on Mac. - Fixed a blip on Mac where expanding a Task could briefly select the whole Task name or pause before the cursor landed at the end. - Fixed a blip on Mac where Heading names couldn’t always be edited. - Fixed a blip where Today could keep showing stale Calendar state after Calendar permissions changed or Calendar Settings was dismissed. - Fixed a blip where Tasks in Just Moved Out could duplicate while being dragged, especially when moving them to a List or Space from the sidebar. - Fixed a blip where Add Tasks could keep showing an available status after you added a Dependency. New Tasks now switch into their dependent state right away, keep the same blocked checkmark behavior as an expanded Task row, and go back to available when the Dependency is removed. - Widgets now stay fresher after actions from Shortcuts and Siri. When you add, snooze, complete, or un-complete Tasks from outside the main app, Stuff refreshes widget timelines so the change shows up faster. - Fixed a blip where the Inbox could show Tasks that no longer counted as Inbox Tasks, such as Tasks with a Plan or Tasks marked Someday. - Fixed a handful of widget blips: Inbox widgets now open the Inbox, the Single Task widget keeps its current Task across widget reloads, Today widgets roll over at midnight, Inbox and No List widget filters point at the right places, and the Today Card widget is back for doers who had it pinned. - Fixed a blip on Mac where Today could keep showing the previous day’s Tasks after midnight until Stuff was quit and reopened. - Fixed a blip where Tasks shared into Stuff could be created twice after quick background and foreground cycles. - Improved the reliability of task parsing in Listen Mode, Scan Mode, and the share extension. - Fixed a blip where section divider dates could occasionally show the wrong format while Stuff was rendering multiple task sections. ... and more! See the full changelog at pages.themitycompany.com/changelog

### Smaller Features - Widgets can now show the In Progress view. Great for keeping the Tasks you’re actively working on close by, and adding from that widget starts the new Task as In Progress in No List by default. - Markdown imports and exports now understand more Task statuses: cancelled Tasks use `[/]`, In Progress Tasks use `[~]`, and completed Tasks export with lowercase `[x]`. ### Blips - Fixed a blip where Add Tasks could crash right after opening Stuff when adding a Task from a fresh launch (thanks for the feedback, Andre!) - Fixed a blip where proposed List or Space chips in Add Tasks could sometimes crash Stuff if they appeared but weren’t accepted. - Fixed a blip where accepting a proposed Space chip while creating a new List could crash Stuff, especially on Mac. - Improved Calendar in Today and Upcoming so events show up much faster when you open those views, and Calendar Settings now stays in sync with whether Stuff actually has Calendar access. - Improved the expanded date picker in Chipcards so scrolling through far-future dates feels much lighter and faster. - Polished view headers so icons, titles, and hide controls line up more neatly across Today, Lists, Spaces, and filtered views. - Polished a few Extra Stuff membership messages so they line up more neatly in Listen Mode, Scan Mode, Search, and completed List sections.

## Smaller Features - On Mac, you can now press Command + Up or Command + Down to move the preselected Task around your list - When you open Add Tasks from a selected Task, Stuff now carries over helpful context like its List, Plan, Deadline, and Tags, without copying the Task name or creating a Dependency. - Adding a Task from In Progress now starts it as In Progress and keeps it in No List by default - Shortcuts can now open Stuff directly to In Progress through the existing Open View action. ## Blips - Fixed a Mac blip where Today’s Grouping filter opened inside a second Grouping submenu. - Fixed a blip where trashing a List from its action menu, context menu, or Archive view could look like it worked without actually moving the List to the Trash Bin. That should behave properly now. - Pressing Escape in one Stuff window should no longer dismiss Add Tasks, Chipcards, or other popups you have open in another window. - Fixed a Shared List blip where opening and closing the Teammates Chipcard as a non-leader could make it look like everyone else disappeared from the collaboration. - Tasks added to Today as already completed or cancelled should now show up in Today like you would expect. - Repeating Tasks that wait until the previous Task is completed should no longer show their next repeat date too early. - Pressing Return on a preselected upcoming repeating Task now expands the Task row instead of opening the Repeating Chipcard by mistake. - Fixed a multiselect blip where switching views could leave another screen acting like Tasks were still selected, even when nothing looked selected anymore. - Smoothed out some of Stuff's task dragging and dropping behavior. There is more to tidy up here, but this should make things feel a bit steadier. - Fixed some broken documentation links

## Blips - Fixed a blip where Spaces couldn’t be deleted from some flows (thanks for the feedback, Chris!) - Fixed a blip on Mac with arrow keying registering across unexpected windows - Fixed a blip on Mac where newly-created Spaces wouldn’t immediately show on Launchpad - Fixed a blip where Today items wouldn’t always refresh without first restarting the app - Fixed a blip on iOS where Stuff would show before some layouts had been set - Fixed a blip with managing your Extra Stuff subscription on Mac - Fixed a blip where tasks that were dependent, and are now available, couldn’t be marked as In Progress until the view changed - Fixed a blip where Add Tasks wouldn’t always open from a widget if there was already a sheet presented in Stuff (thanks for the feedback!)
