Why change the good things about the game?

I have played this game for years and I have progressed fairly well. I have played thousands of levels and regularly used the option of watching an ad or two to get extra coins. It is strange that how, following an update this option is now no longer available for me. Plus, I have also noticed that I am now getting super hard levels after hard levels so I am not able to progress to complete the areas, especially when it takes four stars per action with some addition’s taking at least two parts to complete it. It means where I used to play every day, sometimes twice or three times in a day, I now miss days because it is so difficult to complete the games. I get stuck on one game for over a week. This is not inducing me to play more and without the option to increase the number of coins I can earn by watching ads, I am not able to “pay” for extra lives with my coins, or to “buy” any helping items. It is such a shame that this wonderful game is being spoiled by one update. On the pluses I still love it and I also like the storylines. I really want Austin and Katherine to get together, it is possible that it’s the longest non courtship in history. I’m less sure about the side games. I play Homescapes as well and there is a merge type side game on offer at the moment which I really do like. I hope we see something similar in this game. I don’t like the childish make overs that seem to keep popping up in this game. I don’t see if this type of thing appeals to younger players. I would be interested to see what the age breakdown for this game actually is. I am still giving it 5*s but I do hope the developers actually read the comments on here, as I know I am not on my own, as an older player.

Worst update ever in the whole world.

I have played this game for so long now, around 2 years now. This is the only game I stick to as I get bored super easily. I loved everything about this game and decided to try the other game by these creators, the one with the Home but my problem was the annoying animation of the little icons in the actual games so I uninstalled and I am SOO SAD and so super not happy that they’ve changed the icons in this game to poorer animations. The previous animations are INCREDIBLE. and now they look childish and way worse than before and I’m so confused and now playing this game is just annoying. Where before the game was calming and gave me such a positive experience, now it just seems like I’m playing a game that a 7 year old would be attracted to and it doesn’t appeal to me anymore. I’m very sad this change was made. I’ll probably still play this game every now and then but I certainly will be keeping up to date with weekly events in the game and promotions etc. The game was 100% 5/5 no questions asked before. But now, I honestly feel that this minor change has changed the game for the worse. Maybe the creators are trying to appear to more younger people or what but I’m quite disappointed and despite knowing its very unlikely that they’d change the icons back or actually IMPROVE the old ones. Love the game. Definitely recommend it. Personally being a very visual person it’s a hard adjustment.

Bug fix needed! Lives should only be deducted once playing of the level is finished, not if the program crashes when you're in the middle of playing! I didn't even see the result of my first move before the program crashed and took a life off me :-/Hard levels now and then are OK, but it gets to the point where I'm getting so fed up with a level that I stop playing even if there are unlimited lives available for a while. One of the big frustrations is the timed levels earlier , mainly when I wanted to make a move but the game itself slows me down. Examples: a removed gnome hangs around totally blocking the screen so I can't make my move until he's gone; or I have to wait a few seconds for the blasted rainbow blast to get its act together before I can make a move. Both these things have made me run out of time on many occasions. Having said that, though, the rewards of being able to progress with the garden improvements are just enough to make me keep on with it. One thing I'd like to see disappear is the "against the clock" bit. Having to have multiple tries against the clock just adds up to a lot of high-stress time, which is a bit much for something which is supposed to be fun! Too much stress for little reward on those. If the programmers could resolve the issues mentioned above this would be a much more enjoyable game.

I was on Duolingo and saw an advert featuring a mother & daughter - solve the puzzles & get prizes was the just of the advert, intrigued me so I downloaded to find out that you rarely see this feature in the game! To add to the infuriation you only get a certain amount of lives, & a certain amount of energy to solve the daily games/tasks which takes forever to reload if you aren’t paying(investing) real life money to do so! Even if you do ask your friends in the game to aid you, it limits you to do so with a timer. Effectively it’ll have you waiting most of the day to complete one level sometimes with about 4 tasks that need a certain amount of stars - or on the ‘seasonal challenges’ you’ll need over 26 energy bolts to move two paces which takes forever to reload & is used up in one or two strikes. I’m not sure how much patience I can have with this tbh. Seems better off if I just downloaded what I’d seen initially in the advert I.e this is false advertising- I thought I was downloading a puzzle solving game; or I’ll just go elsewhere where I can play enjoyably without having to pay to play. The other thing is that you actually can earn coins but sometimes you can accidentally press a pop up which will use them up in the anticipation of you trying to replay the level (very FRUSTRATING)! Would be a good game if it was a little more user friendly & less concerned with making us spend real money to play!
