10 years on Mars
Collected by: University of Michigan, School of Information
Archived since: Mar, 2014
Description: Our mission is to capture the public perception of the Mars rovers on their 10th anniversary, and to preserve and provide access to that information for future research. We will collect web pages that address the Mars rovers from three different perspectives on their 10th anniversary, and to preserve and provide access to that information for future research. Official government websites will provide the control information: what was officially released regarding the past ten years exploring Mars. As a counterpoint, we will also capture the popular news and science media’s relation of these events as well as the fringe (conspiracy theorizing, alien spotting and so on) perspectives and reactions.

Mars Anomaly Research
Description: "[Skipper's] online public reporting of his discoveries began early year 2000 initially with the aid of a good friend Jeffrey McCann. Now many years of experience later, his discovery evidence record at www.marsanomalyresearch.com is substantial and popular around the world. He says it is now running about 4–5+ million traffic hits per month and growing. One feature of his work that instills viewer confidence and loyality is that Skipper's evidence is always distinguished by being sourced from and well documented in the official science data from which it is drawn so that it can be readily verified by viewers."
