Description:Mr. Brackenbury was born in 1929 - his home address during childhood was 430 No. Sierra Vista in Mty. Pk. All neighbors raised goats, chickens & turkeys. Eggs were bought and sold between neighbors. Lots were large and there was a lot of farming going on. His mother worked for Laura Scudder during the 1930s and 1940s. She was an excellent employer and allowed Robert to sell magazines at the manufacturing plant. Mrs. Scudder said that it helped Robert since it was a fundraiser while also helping her female employees because she wanted all of her employees to have interesting reading material in their homes. Mr. Brackenbury owned and managed a Paint Store in Monterey Park for decades.
