Great to see TechDay Australia cover the launch of our new Affinda AI document processing platform, which solves one of the hardest technical problems in business process automation. As one of the first intelligent document processing platforms in the world to deploy AI agents with persistent model memory, we've set a new benchmark. Our new platform is extremely accurate, works for any document type and use case, and allows customers to get set up fast. Before spending a cent. The result? Powerful gains in productivity and efficiency, and measurable ROI in weeks, not months. It was great to see some of our customers feature in the article: → Australian mutual insurance institution StateCover Mutual, where we process over 300,000 case management documents annually across 80 different document types. Incredibly fortunate to spend time with our advisor Andrew Ang today discussing the investment industry's transformation, our current product state, and where we're heading. The speed of AI adoption is creating an unprecedented divide. We're seeing firms that embrace AI pull dramatically ahead, while others struggle with approaches that worked just 2 years ago. The data backs this up: - 72% of asset managers believe AI will transform the industry - Yet only 16% have a defined strategy We see AI adoption in investments following a similar path to autonomous driving - 5 levels from manual (L0) to fully autonomous (L5). Most firms are stuck at L0-L1, while the leaders are already racing toward L3 and beyond. At Altbridge, we're helping firms navigate this transition through what we call the AI journey (L0 manual processes → L5 autonomous investing). Currently we're at L3, building AI copilots that fundamentally change how research gets done, but we partner with our clients to achieve L5 together. The key takeaway from our discussion? This year’s KPMG Australia & University of Melbourne Trust in AI Survey Report shows Australians simply don’t trust AI yet! Without trust in AI, we simply won’t get adoption of the technology, investment in AI innovation and the potential productivity improvements that our Australian economy deserves. We have to do better #Australia! 1) Education is low. The survey shows Only 24% of Australians have had training in AI, compared with levels of 65%+ in neighbouring Asian economies. We need Government, Educational institutions, and Corporates to work together on more AI education. 2) Regulation is hard, but it has to happen. 77% of those surveyed are ready for regulation in Australia. This regulation has to be balanced – giving confidence to society around the use of AI and impact on humans, but also encourage innovation investment in Australia. 3) Investment – As a Services based economy, we have so much to gain out of the Trusted use of AI in Australia. Other nations are pulling together private/public partnerships to invest in AI in very big numbers (The Stargate Project in the USA at $500bn,  Invest AI in Europe at €200bn) If we pull together, we have a great opportunity to harness the productivity benefits of AI for all Australians – but we have to act now! Australia’s overall Trust Index has fallen, with two-thirds of Australians now worried that business leaders are deliberately misleading them. This is concerning. Trust is the foundation of any great client relationship, but in the legal industry, it's everything - clients rely on law firms at the most challenging times in their lives.
