We announced our €4M funding round with a podcast on Trends DataNews about something I think we don't dare say enough: AMBITION! I genuinely believe we should be more ambitious and we should be less afraid to say it out loud. Ambition isn’t arrogance. It’s putting words to a vision. It’s deciding where you want to go before you know exactly how you’ll get there. When you pronounce an ambitious goal, something changes. It gives your team something to rally around, it makes decisions easier, it forces you to think bigger than what feels realistic today. At Spotable, we’re very open about what we want to build. We don't want to build a nice little software company. We want to build a category-defining company from Europe and take it global. Will everything happen exactly as we imagine it today? Probably not. But I would much rather set the bar ridiculously high and fight to get there than quietly build something smaller because it felt safer to say. So pronounce it. Manifest it. Put the goal on the wall. And give your whole team something worth chasing. Two of our founders are in Las Vegas. One stayed home in Belgium. Guess who wanted a "normal" funding announcement. (He lost.) Spotable has raised €4 million in seed funding! 🎉 In September 2024, Sebastien Vandendriessche, Julie Dumoulin, and Pieter-Jan Philips started building software for roofers. Fast forward to today: a team of 30, 350 customers, over 10 million m² of roof. And €4 million in the bank to go further. So where do the chips go? 🏛️ To Europe, starting with France and Germany. 🗽 To the US, our biggest venture. ✨ To the product: from address to measurements, materials, prices, and a quote. 💙 And to the team that builds it.
