Celebrating World Milk Day and the women helping shape the future of dairy 🌎🥛 On June 1, World Milk Day recognizes the role dairy plays in supporting nutrition, health, economic resilience, and sustainable agriculture around the world. This year also provides an opportunity to recognize the contributions of women across Canada’s dairy sector — from farm leadership and innovation to food production, research, and community impact. As part of the International Year of Women Farmers, today is a reminder of the important role women continue to play in strengthening agricultural systems and food security. Milk remains an essential and accessible source of nutrition for billions globally, while the dairy sector continues to support rural economies, agricultural innovation, and resilient food systems.
