✨ Last week, DGWA hosted a Self-Defense Workshop at the McGill University Athletics and Recreation Centre — an empowering afternoon dedicated to building strength, confidence, and awareness. Led by a professional instructor, the session guided participants through practical techniques designed to increase safety and self-assurance in everyday situations. From stance and balance to verbal defense strategies, every movement reinforced one key message: empowerment begins with self-trust. A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us for making this event such a success — and to our instructor for creating a supportive and inclusive space to learn and grow. Together, we continue to build a DGWA community that celebrates strength, safety, and solidarity. #DGWA #WomenEmpowerment #SelfDefense #Confidence #McGillDesautels #WomenInLeadership

✨ Last week, DGWA teamed up with the Desautels Graduate Consulting Club - DGCC for an inspiring evening on Women in Consulting. From healthcare to cyber risk, eCommerce to economic analysis, our four panelists each came from completely different paths, but all shared one thing in common: a deep honesty about how they found (and sometimes stumbled into) their careers in consulting. 💬 Whether it was navigating career pivots, building confidence in male-dominated spaces, or learning to say yes before feeling “ready,” every story reminded us that there’s no single formula to success in consulting — only growth, grit, and curiosity. A big thank you to our incredible speakers — Rachel Simmons (EY), Laila Bouali M.Sc. (Deloitte), Noémie Vallières (EY), and Jessica Burley (Analysis Group) — for sharing such candid insights and sparking conversations that kept the room buzzing long after the panel ended. #WomenInConsulting #CareerJourneys #McGillDesautels #WomenInBusiness #ConsultingCareers
