We’re incredibly honoured to have received the CHFA Trailblazer Small Business Award ❤️ This recognition means so much to our entire team, especially after a weekend that reminded us just how powerful it can be to create space for Indigenous culture, food, and community. From the incredible response to the Indigenous Cultural Opener to the conversations we shared throughout the show, we felt so much love and support. Thank you to Canadian Health Food Association for believing in what we’re building, for creating space for Indigenous voices and culture, and for continuing to lead by example in our industry. We’re proud of how far Mitsoh has come, and even more excited for what’s ahead. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🦬 ❤️ Special thanks to Sashane Biggs, CEM, Irina Costachescu, Scott Sulz Aaron Skelton, and your entire team for letting us share our culture.

Seeing Indigenous brands together on an end cap means so much more than just shelf space. It’s proof that Indigenous entrepreneurs are building, growing, and showing up in mainstream retail in a big way. A huge thank you to NCIAF for believing in Indigenous businesses and helping create opportunities like this. Your support continues to open doors for founders and communities across the country. We’re proud to stand alongside so many incredible Indigenous brands ❤️🦬

A major step forward for Indigenous market access in Canada. The NCIAF is proud to announce the first initiative under our broader National Market Access Strategy, developed through our partnership with Sobeys Inc., a subsidiary of Empire Company Limited. Together, we are launching a pilot at a Safeway store in Madison Square, Winnipeg featuring a dedicated end cap for Indigenous-made products. Sobeys identified Manitoba as the province where customers most frequently asked for greater access to Indigenous-made products. By starting where the need is greatest, we can learn, refine the model, and build a framework for national expansion. This initiative is about far more than shelf space. It is about removing barriers, strengthening supplier readiness, increasing visibility, and creating a sustainable pathway for Indigenous food businesses to enter and grow within mainstream retail. The Winnipeg initiative is the first visible outcome of a multi-year partnership focused on meaningful, measurable, and lasting impact. Relationships first. Shared outcomes. National impact. We have been nominated for the CHFA Trailblazer Small Business Award! 💙 Every day, we get to do something we never take for granted: bring Indigenous foods back to the table and into the modern world. The foods we make were here long before grocery stores, packaging, or even the word "snack" existed. Dry meat. Pemmican. Some of the first foods of this land. At Mitsoh, we have the privilege of carrying that ancestral wisdom forward through food made for modern life. To be recognized by the Canadian Health Food Association and this incredible industry for doing exactly that means the world to us. To every retailer who took a chance on us, every partner who believed in our mission, and every customer who continues to support Indigenous-owned business—thank you. Congratulations to all of the incredible nominees who are making a difference in this industry. We're honoured to be alongside you. 💙 Ian Gladue Brandon Markiw Mike Fata Emily Gracie Morgan Setter Paige Janvier

Before we turn the page on the year, we just want to say thank you 🤍 This year reminded us of something simple but powerful: Mitsoh is food for real life. Not just special moments. But early mornings. Long days. Road trips. Desk drawers. Lunchboxes. Hikes. Clean, high-protein fuel you can actually rely on. 2025 was a year of growth — into 400+ new stores across Canada, new communities, and new conversations rooted in culture, story, and connection. Our mission has always been bigger than snacks. Food is just how we bring people together. We’re so grateful you’re part of this journey — and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming next. Here’s to resetting, refuelling, and starting strong! — The Mitsoh Team 🦬🤍 Ian Gladue Brandon Markiw Emily Gracie Paige Janvier

This isn’t just about bringing Indigenous food back. It’s about bringing back joy, pride, and ownership of our stories. Every time I stand in a room like this — big or small — I’m reminded how powerful it is when people show up curious, open, and ready to listen. Being human is complicated. Our histories are layered. But every generation has a chance to do better — together. To learn. To grow. To build something honest. Mitsoh isn’t just about food. It’s about culture, connection, and creating space for Indigenous voices — in our own words. Thank you to everyone who came, listened, and engaged. If this resonates, watch the video and keep the conversation going. That’s how real change starts.
