🥖 Canada’s baking sector is a major contributor to our food manufacturing economy, with $22 billion in annual baked-goods sales, more than 52,000 people employed, and 3,874 bakery and tortilla-manufacturing establishments across the country. Nearly 95% of those establishments employ fewer than 100 people, underscoring the important role small and medium-sized businesses play across the sector. Canadians purchased approximately 1.6 million tonnes of baked goods in 2024.
