Chris Tester shared thisHonoured to be named to Ottawa’s Forty Under 40. Appreciate the Ottawa Business Journal, Ottawa Board of Trade, and the selection committee for the recognition. I’ve been lucky to work with a great team, and learn from a lot of good people along the way - this is a reflection of that more than anything. Looking forward to what’s next! #OTT40Chris Tester shared thisThe Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade are pleased to announce the recipients of this year’s Forty Under 40 awards, which have become widely recognized as the region’s most sought-after business award for people under the age of 40. https://lnkd.in/eifKMbDb #Ottawa #ottnews #OBJ

Chris Tester reposted thisChris Tester reposted thisWe have been diligently working on ShopCRM for the past few months, and nothing compares to the excitement of meeting in person and submitting our app to Shopify after collaborating for so long. The idea for ShopCRM was born out of a real need. Chris Tester was struggling with a particular problem in his store and couldn't find an app that met his needs. So, he collaborated with us to create a public app that not only solved his problem but also helps other merchants. ShopCRM simplifies your sales process by automatically importing draft orders based on pre-set conditions and managing them effortlessly at every stage. You can create manual tasks to stay on top of your draft orders, send customized quotes to customers, and enroll them in automated email sequences, ensuring your draft orders smoothly convert to purchases. Here's a Quick Demo: https://lnkd.in/g3wfhp5b We are now onboarding Beta users. If you're interested in using ShopCRM, please email us at hello@shoptrade.co or DM Christian Sawyer, Chris Tester and we will be delighted to help you get started. Chris Tester liked thisChris Tester liked thishttps://lnkd.in/g4TbET8V PM Carney, Canadians are rightly angry at Trump’s 50% tariffs. But what about our own Premiers? A B.C. winery can face costs of roughly 75% or more just to sell its wine in Ontario. Incredibly, that Canadian wine can be cheaper in the U.S. AFTER Trump’s 50% tariff than in another Canadian province. Trump’s tariffs are his choice. Canada’s internal trade barriers are OUR choice. Premiers who continue protecting these barriers are doing more damage to a united Canadian economy than Trump…we can fix this ourselves. PM Carney: call the premiers out. Tear down the barriers. One country. One market. Now.

Chris Tester liked thisChris Tester liked thisGrateful is an understatement, and the Forty Under 40 wasn't just for me. I walked the stage in that yellow dress, but I wasn't up there alone. I was up there with my team, who shows up and builds with me every single day. With friends who believed in this work before there was anything to point to. With family who never once asked me to play it safe. This award says "under 40" and one name. But the truth is messier and better than that. Nothing I've built at AGI Ventures Canada happened solo. The ecosystem work, the rooms full of builders, the late nights figuring it out before there was a playbook. All of it was a team effort. To my husband Jonathan Gagne, who holds the trophy with me in every sense. To my family who've been the most supportive. To Selina Rose Darcie Dillon, P.Eng., M.Eng. Graeme Webster for showing up in the red glow and the loud rooms. To Wilson Li, CPA, CA who sat us down and pushed us to think what AGI Ventures Canada was going to be before it got incorporated. To my co-founder Hai N. and the whole AGIV team and our crazy builder community. None of this is solo. Thank you to the Ottawa Business Journal and Ottawa Board of Trade for the recognition. And thank you to everyone in that photo and everyone who couldn't be there. You're the reason I get to do this. The room gets better when the people in it get better. I have the best room. #FortyUnder40 #OttawaBusinessJournal #OttawaBoardofTrade #Ottawa #AIecosystem #AGIVINDUSTRIES

I’ve got no value to add today for my linkedin community, but I don’t want to break my streak of posting at least once a day 😎 (1449 days and still going strong…)

I really didn’t expect it to become a group project. People really showed up for me🥹 Strangers followed just to get me there. People commented just to boost reach. Someone claimed follower #10,000. This was the ultimate reminder to keep going. That’s what building in the open looks like. Just this time it was community. 10,000. Thank you. 🤍 In case anyone is wondering nothing has changed. I will still throw my phone across the room after this post. #community #gratitude

Chris Tester reacted on thisChris Tester reacted on thisFeeling incredibly grateful to be recognized with Ottawa Board of Trade Forty Under 40 Award and to represent both Carleton University Carleton Science and nursing in this space. This award is often associated with business and entrepreneurship, so to be recognized for academic leadership, healthcare, and public service feels especially meaningful. I truly could not love the work I get to do more, and being acknowledged for it is the cherry on top. My team and I talk about ikigai — the intersection of what you love, what you are good at, what the world needs, and what you can contribute — and I feel incredibly lucky to have found work that so reflects that. None of this happens alone. It has taken, and continues to take, the support, trust, encouragement, and honest challenges of so many people. I am thankful every day for the work, the people, and the opportunities that have brought me here. I am especially grateful for the many people who show up for me, support me, and make it possible for me to keep showing up for this work every single day. I have also been reflecting on how many people are doing extraordinary things every day, often without recognition. In many ways, the only difference is that I was nominated. So I’m accepting this with deep gratitude, and with a full appreciation for the many people whose work, care, and leadership inspire me constantly. Honoured, grateful, and more motivated than ever to keep building something meaningful, to the infinite next 40! Carleton University School of Nursing https://lnkd.in/gvrgtzfR

Chris Tester reacted on thisLast night, I attended the Forty Under 40 Awards hosted by the Ottawa Business Journal and the Ottawa Board of Trade. What stood out most was the incredible depth of leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and community impact represented in the room. Ottawa is fortunate to have so many talented individuals choosing to build companies, lead organizations, and create positive change right here in our city. I was especially proud to see three Sprott alumni recognized among this year’s recipients: Chris Tester, Genevieve Walton, and Michelle Younes and previous Sprott instructor Danielle Walsh, CPA, CA. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition and for the impact you continue to make across our community. I also had the pleasure of sharing the evening with another oustanding 40 under 40 recipient, Danielle Manley, Associate Professor and Director of Nursing at Carleton University, and an honour to sit with recipient Dhiego Pinilla Lopes to celebrate his accomplishments and achievements. Events like this serve as a reminder that strong communities are built by people who choose to lead, collaborate, and give back. Congratulations to all of this year’s Forty Under 40 recipients. Your success is helping shape the future of Ottawa. Congratulations to the Ottawa Board of Trade and Ottawa Business Journal for a perfect evening of celebration. Chris Tester reacted on thisChris Tester reacted on thisDay 351. We are two weeks away from Postbeam.ai's one-year anniversary. We’re now at $3,285 MRR. If I'm being honest, Emil and I thought we would be at $20k MRR by now. But the reality is that it takes a long time to build a great product or service and we are building for the long term. For Hoppier we got stuck at $10k/month for a year and then boom we shot up to $80k/month in 90 days! I have this deja-vu feeling that Emil Aite and I are about to experience something similar now. Postbeam is still tiny and early. But it finally feels like we’re finding our stride. I now use Postbeam every single week now. Not because I “should” use my own product. Because I actually need it. The last few weeks have been less about shiny features and more about making the product actually work better for customers: - Launched a real homepage for Postbeam - Fixed a bunch of annoying bugs - Did a huge onboarding overhaul - Continued investing in partnerships Nothing sexy but this is the stuff that compounds.

📉 Canadian Inflation Falls to 1.8% — Lower Than Expected Canada’s annual inflation rate slowed to 1.8% in February, down from 2.3% in January, according to Statistics Canada. According to our Chief Economist, Dr. Sherry Cooper, part of the decline reflects base effects from the temporary GST/HST tax break introduced in early 2025, which is now reversing in the inflation data. A few key takeaways: • Core inflation also eased, with CPI excluding food and energy at 2%, and the Bank of Canada’s trimmed and median measures falling to 2.3%. • Shelter inflation continues to cool, rising just 1.5% year-over-year — the slowest pace in five years. • Food price inflation slowed to 4.1%, though grocery prices remain over 30% higher than five years ago. • Gasoline prices moderated, helping pull headline inflation down. Bottom line: A softer inflation backdrop is positive for markets and interest rate expectations. However, with oil prices rising amid geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, central banks will likely remain cautious. For now, both the Bank of Canada and the U.S. Federal Reserve appear positioned to stay on the sidelines, watching how energy prices and global developments evolve.

In Saskatoon’s $200K–$300K range, sales speed varies: ✔️ Townhomes generally move faster than condos ✔️ Apartment condos $200K–$250K still see quick sales ✔️ Apartment condos $250K–$300K take longer to sell This highlights the importance of understanding sub-markets when buying or selling. 🎥 Full video: https://linktw.in/vXaYbS #SaskatoonRealEstate #PropertyInvestment #Condos #Townhomes #MarketInsights
