This isn’t about being pushy or rushing clients. It’s about recognizing that time is our most valuable asset – for us and our customers. Sales professionals with a sense of urgency: • Respond quickly to inquiries and follow-ups • Are proactive rather than reactive • Consistently meet (and often exceed) deadlines • Create momentum in the sales process But urgency isn’t about speed at the expense of quality. It’s about efficiency and respect for everyone’s time. It means being prepared, focused, and ready to take action at every stage of the sales process. How to develop a sense of urgency: - Set clear goals - Prioritize tasks effectively - Look for ways to move the process forward. I previously attended a Cisco One Step Ahead experience as a customer, so being here now in my new role feels especially meaningful. Over the last couple of days, we've enjoyed outstanding food, a beautiful day on the water, and, most importantly, the chance to build stronger connections with customers, partners, and peers. David Mathieu liked thisDavid Mathieu liked thisMy birthday always makes me pause and reflect on one question: “Would the boy you once were be proud of the man you’ve become?” Because of my upbringing, birthdays have always felt a little different for me. They’ve always been moments of reflection. This quote has become one of my favourites because it helps ground my thinking each year. The photos here are me at 4 years old and 17 years old. By 17, I was already questioning a lot about the world around me — the beliefs I had grown up with, the environment I was in, and the future that seemed to have already been decided for me. I didn’t have a roadmap. I didn’t have a degree ahead of me. And I certainly didn’t know where life would take me. But I did know one thing: I wanted my life to be different — and on my terms. So at 17 I left home and started my first business. Years later, at 25, I moved to Canada and began building a completely new chapter of my life. Life since then has been anything but a straight line — careers, businesses, setbacks, wins, and a lot of learning along the way. Looking back now, as I approach 46 🤣 I’ve realized something important: For me, success isn’t about where you are compared to others. It’s about how far you’ve come from where you started. And when I look at those old photos today, I come back to that same question: Would the boy I was be proud of the man I am today? I’m very sure the answer is yes. And for me, that feels like success. Curious — what would your younger self think of the path you’ve taken?
