WiE x Wealthsimple kickoff event was a great success! Last week, WiE had 4 amazing and accomplished female engineers from Wealthsimple run a panel and answer questions about their journeys in tech, greatest lessons learned, advice for incoming graduates and interns, AI, and the list goes on. A lot of wise words were said, questions answered and advice given to many talented and aspiring students. After the panel, students got to network with the panellists to discuss their goals and plans for the future, learn about different opportunities, and talk about each others’ journeys in tech as women in engineering. Overall, the event was a blast, and we couldn’t have done it without Mojan Benham, Hannah Yeates, Flora Z., Masha Kuznetsova, Afreen Aliya and Madi Fuller, MEd! A huge thank you to Wealthsimple for coming to visit us on campus, we hope you come visit us again!

Thank you Capital One for hosting another WiE Wednesday with us! This was our most interactive networking event yet, with six roundtable discussions accompanied by dinner and engaging conversations. We are incredibly grateful to Janina Kara Daulo, Edward Bieth, CHRL , Kelly Zhu , Xin Xia , Candice Cheng, and Kathy Guo from Capital One for spending their evening facilitating these discussions. Without them, this event wouldn’t have been possible. Once again, we are so proud of our sponsorship team, Madison Wong, Ava Chen, Sadie Seoyeon Choi, and Julia Duarte for organizing yet another successful WiE Wednesday this term! We’re excited for more events with Capital One in the near future! #WomeninEngineering #CapitalOne #WomeninSTEM #WomeninTech
