Happening Now: Celebrate Whole Grains Month with Us!

We're midway through our September Whole Grains Month celebration! Thank you to everyone who has participated so far, and it's not too late to get involved.

On social media, members can use our free media kit full of captions and graphics to share with your audience. If you're looking for a fun graphic, our whole grain dating profiles offer cheeky encouragement for consumers to eat whole grains. To round out your post, you can pair it with one of our ready captions like "Did you know that eating at least three servings of whole grains each day is linked to better heart health and digestion? Look for the Whole Grain Stamp to help identify whole grain foods at the store, including our [Product Name]. #WholeGrainsInTheKitchen"

You can also create your own post highlighting whole grains (and our Stamp!), like member Marimix did here, and we'll co-share it to our social media feed.

Don't Miss These Whole Grains Month Webinars!

During whole grains month, we're hosting two interesting whole grain focused webinars. First, we'll be chatting with WGC scientific advisor Dr. Nicola McKeown discussing whole grain research and guidance. Then, on instagram we'll be hosting a Q&A with WGC culinary advisor Maria Speck about her new cookbook, Baking with Ancient Grains. These events are open to the public, so please share with your team or audience of whole grain enthusiasts!

You only need to record a short clip using the guidelines below, and editing will be done by the WGI team. If you'd like to join the celebration, please record your clip by September 30 in front of a recognizable landmark in your city or country, following the instructions linked below.

Social Media Resource of the Month

For this month's social media resource, we're sharing one of the graphics available in our Whole Grains Month media kit! Feel free to share this month and beyond alongside one of our available captions, like:

"Regardless of where in the world you live, or where your ancestors came from, chances are that whole grains are a part of your heritage. Before refrigeration and irrigation, grains offered several practical advantages over other food groups when it came to storage and cultivation. Cereal grains can be stored at room temperature for months at a time without spoiling and they are easy on the environment, requiring significantly less water than many other crops. During Whole Grains Month, don't forget to tag @wholegrains_council and @oldways_pt, and we'll share all the posts!
