Don't Miss Whole Day for Whole Grain on March 25!

In just under two weeks on, March 25, we hope you'll join us to celebrate Whole Day for Whole Grain! On our website, you’ll find a full overview of the day along with ready‑to‑use captions, customizable graphics, and other shareable materials in our social media toolkit.

Whole Day for Whole Grain is a great opportunity to participate in the National Nutrition Month conversation and spotlight your whole grain products. An easy way to get involved is by simply sharing photos of your Whole Grain Stamped products (in our customizable frame graphic, if you'd like!) and include a caption with your favorite meal prep ideas to give consumers some delicious inspiration.

Interact with us @WholeGrains_Council and @OldwaysPT and use #WholeDayForWholeGrain so that we can share your posts and help promote your products!

More Ways To Get Involved!

If you'd like to generate even more consumer attention, we’re also encouraging members to celebrate by:

  • Hosting a product giveaway or contest for consumers on your social media accounts
  • Offering a promo/discount code for whole grain products on your website
  • Hosting an in-store or online activation with information about whole grains

We even have suggested codes provided in our toolkit! Consumers often cite price as a barrier to trying new whole grain products, so this is another fun way to draw attention and bring access to your healthy whole grain products. Promotions like these can boost engagement and help you connect with new customers. And of course, we’ll share your plans to our feeds when you tag us and use #WholeDayforWholeGrain. We hope you’ll join us in helping consumers discover the delicious benefits of whole grains!

Check Out Our New Free Whole Grain Demo Toolkit!

On March 25, during Whole Day for Whole Grain, we’ll be debuting our brand‑new Whole Grain Demo Toolkit created for both WDWG and National Nutrition Month. We'll be hosting our own demo during a special Instagram Live (time TBA) at @WholeGrains_Council, and we’d love for members to tune in and help spread the word.

The Demo Toolkit includes FAQs, recipes with talking points, and helpful whole grain cooking tips. Please share the free toolkit with your nutritionist and dietitian contacts—it’s full of resources to support whole grain education!

Learn About IFIC's Whole Grain Report in Our Blog

Don’t miss our latest blog post exploring new insights from the IFIC Spotlight Survey: Americans’ Perceptions of Fiber & Whole Grains. The findings highlight consumer beliefs, preferences, and knowledge gaps about whole grains. There's lots of great information showing strong trust in the health benefits of whole grains, including that “nearly three-quarters of Americans consider fiber (73%) and whole grains (70%) beneficial to health, compared with fewer than half (41%) who view refined carbohydrates as beneficial.”

These insights strongly mirror our own consumer research, which offers an in-depth look at how people think about whole grains and what motivates their choices.

A Quick PRF Resource Reminder

On our website, we have a Product Registration Form Help page available that lists out common ingredients we encounter, and whether they should be counted as a whole grain, a refined grain, or not a grain at all! It also provides an overview of our Total and Whole Grains calculations, especially helpful if you have a new member of your team registering products. If you’re ever wondering while filling out our PRF, take a look to see if it helps.

We're happy to tease that this list will be built directly into the Product Registration Form on our upcoming new website, to make referencing even easier. Stay tuned for the launch!
