  • On Friday, 21 August at 19:00, the Cyprus Peace and Dialogue Centre (CPDC) co-organises an evening of dialogue at the Europäisches Friedenshaus in Marl, Germany, together with Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot speakers. Rather than a conventional lecture, the evening will bring together Greek- and Turkish-origin diaspora communities in Germany, German participants and Cypriot speakers for an interactive discussion on Cyprus, Greek–Turkish relations, shared interests and the role of citizens in building more peaceful futures. The programme will also include poetry and music, creating space for political dialogue alongside cultural expression. Speakers: Neşe Yaşın Argyro Efthymiou Dr. Meltem Onurkan-Samani Lefki Christodoulou Prof. Frithjof Kuepper We look forward to an evening of dialogue across communities, histories and borders. • Come and have your say on updating the Cyprus peace process! Things might be moving again on the Cyprus problem and we believe that this time should be different! Come and have your voice heard during our online, bicommunal citizens’ assemblies taking place on 17 August online from 5pm to 6pm. You will be tasked with making proposals on how to update the Cyprus peace process: how to update methodology and the design of the longstanding peace process to raise the chances of success. With the assistance of AI, you will be able to work in your own language (Greek, Turkish or English) with participants from both Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot communities. These particular sessions are targeted at youth and women. Sign up here or message us with your questions. https://lnkd.in/dqJ5BApE
