UnternehmerTUM Incubator (formerly XPLORE)

Too big and too early-stage doesn't exist at Bits & Pretzels. 🥨 We assumed the teams we support wouldn't be at an event this size. Two days at our booth proved how useful it is to be at Munich's biggest startup event. Almost every group that is supported by UnternehmerTUM walked past the counter: students asking where to even start, teams ready for the Incubator, startups that fit the Accelerator, established companies asking about partnerships, and investors looking for deal flow. Three questions came up again and again: 🔹 What exactly is UnternehmerTUM? 🔹 How can you support my startup? 🔹 How do I find investment, or my first customers? That last one is worth sitting with. Two days of stages, 500 speakers and thousands of conversations, and what founders wanted to talk about was the same thing they always want to talk about: money and customers. Everything else follows from those two. And the rocket (which weighs as much as a full beer mug): hold it up as long as you can, win a ticket to our Ultimate Demo Day. Most people managed about two minutes. The best held out for nine. It was great to see our alumni and current teams come by (and do the rocket challenge), which was the best part. Some we had not seen in a while. Ten stages in that building. The most useful conversations happened at the booth. #bits26 #bitsandpretzels #deeptech #munichstartups

I'll be at #bits26 next week 🥨 ... and you'll know exactly where to find me. I'm at the UnternehmerTUM stand both fair days, Monday and Tuesday, sharing it with UVC Partners and TUM Venture Labs. Come by if you want to talk about the Incubator or the Accelerator, if you're thinking about building something and don't know where to start, or if you just want a coffee that isn't trade fair coffee. Alumni: come say hi. I want to hear what you're up to now, and I'm not above asking for a selfie. See you there 🙌 UnternehmerTUM Incubator (formerly XPLORE), UnternehmerTUM Accelerator #bitsandpretzels #humanafterall #munichstartups #founders

Your research could be a startup. 🔬 Applications for the IdeaLab are open! Over two days in Garching TUM Venture Labs and we work with PhD candidates, doctoral candidates, and postdocs to turn academic work into something a company could be built on. You'll dissect your research into its core technologies, find the application areas that matter commercially, and practice making all of it make sense to non-experts. What you'll do: • break your research down into its core technologies and spot where it creates value • learn how a deep-tech startup actually gets off the ground • practice pitching your solution to a non-technical audience When: • Get-together on November 25: pizza, drinks, a keynote from a founder, and the chance to meet the other participants before the work starts • Two-day workshop on November 26 and 27 in Garching Applications close on November 18, 2026. ⏳ Two weeks left: help us make the list for the fourth time "Europe's Leading Startup Hubs" by the Financial Times and Statista is one recognition that means something different to us: it's based entirely on what founders say, not on what we say about ourselves. Last year, your votes helped us top the list. We'd like to top that again this year, and it depends entirely on hearing from the people who actually went through UnternehmerTUM. If you're an alumnus or alumna from when we were called XPLORE, tell the Financial Times what your experience was like. The survey takes two minutes, and it closes on September 25. ➡️ Share your experience: https://lnkd.in/dM-AQAmA ❗ One small but important note: please add your contact details in the form. Without them, the vote can't be counted. #StartupEcosystem #UnternehmerTUM #EuropesLeadingStartupHubs
