We are designing the digital euro to offer the highest privacy levels of any electronic payment option, explains ECB Executive Board member Piero Cipollone in an interview with Il Sussidiario.net. Here is what you need to know: ✅🛜Online payments = state-of-the-art privacy measures to pseudonymise and encrypt all data The Eurosystem would not be able to identify you or track your payments. Only the banks involved would know the participants to the transaction. 🚫🛜Offline payments = cash-like privacy levels The digital euro could also be used offline. In that case, only the payer and the payee would know the details of the transactions. 🔗 Read the full interview https://lnkd.in/dMMMyzkc
