High‑resolution payloads are only as good as the link that gets their data home. NanoCom Link SX turns your smallsat into a high‑throughput data relay, combining S‑ and X‑band in one ultra‑compact SDR‑based solution. One radio. Two bands. More data: - Dual S‑ and X‑band in a single SDR platform for EO, remote sensing, SIGINT and TMTC. - Up to 7.5 Mbps in S‑band and 225 Mbps in X‑band, so you can empty payload memory fast on short passes. - Flexible front‑end and antenna placement to cut RF losses and ease mechanical integration. Ready for real constellations: - Store‑and‑Forward with up to 120 GB and high‑speed SpaceWire plus standard interfaces for heavy payloads. - In‑orbit configurable link parameters, CCSDS/DVB‑S2 compliant and validated with major ground station providers. Instead of choosing between robust S‑band TMTC or high‑speed X‑band downlink, NanoCom Link SX gives you both in one constellation‑ready package. Proud to see European Space Agency - ESA shine a light on the incredible control and precision behind missions like this one at ESOC. At GomSpace, we’re proud to support ESA in pushing the boundaries of planetary‑defense and deep‑space exploration, building on our expertise in Advanced Missions SmallSat‑based projects such as HERA/Juventas and new initiatives like RAMSES. "Every maneuver, every burn, and every data point is a reminder of how small‑satellite technologies are becoming essential partners in safeguarding our planet and understanding our Solar System." says Edgar Milic - GomSpace Vice President for Advanced Missions. #AdvancedMissions #GomSpace #ESA #HERA #RAMSES #SpaceSafety #CubeSat #DeepSpace #PlanetaryDefense
MISSION LOG at ESOC: Four weeks, four burns – one precise path to an asteroid rendezvous! 🛰️💫 European Space Agency - ESA's Hera mission powered through another major milestone on its journey to the Didymos–Dimorphos binary asteroid system by initiating its second deep‑space manoeuvre (DSM‑2). ✨ Hera is the crucial follow‑up to NASA’s DART mission, which intentionally impacted Dimorphos in 2022. To determine how reliable asteroid deflection by kinetic impact truly is, ESAs one‑of‑a‑kind Hera spacecraft will arrive at the system to conduct the first‑ever detailed study of the collision’s aftermath. DSM‑2 is Hera’s largest and final manoeuvre of its interplanetary cruise phase. The sequence consists of four fuel burns spread across four weeks, with the remaining two scheduled for 28 February and 14 March. 🗓️ After a meticulously thought out manoeuvre plan, our Flight Dynamics colleagues at ESOC designed and uplinked the commands for this key stage in the mission long before the engines ever fired. These burns will tilt Hera’s heliocentric inclination toward Didymos and boost the spacecraft’s velocity by 367 m/s - precision adjustments that will make the difference between passing by and arriving exactly on target. But DSM‑2 isn’t just about trajectory corrections. Arrival at the small, fast‑moving asteroids will demand a precise operational strategy. The month‑long DSM‑2 will allow teams at mission control to test onboard systems that will be essential for the spacecraft’s braking and rendezvous phases upon arrival. This mission is a historic double first: the first spacecraft to study a binary asteroid system up close, and the first to examine an asteroid whose orbit was deliberately altered by humanity. Hera is truly in a class of its own — and its journey is just getting started. 🚀 🎥 ESA

I am truly excited and deeply honored to join the Board of the Asteroid Foundation. Asteroids are not just distant rocks in space — they are keys to understanding our origins, advancing science, strengthening planetary defense, and inspiring the next generation. Being part of an organization that brings together vision, education, and global collaboration around such a powerful mission is both a privilege and a responsibility. I look forward to contributing my energy and experience to help further elevate the Foundation’s impact and also reinforce Luxembourg’s role as a meaningful actor in the global space community. The journey continues — and it is an inspiring one. Asteroid Foundation Luxembourg Space Agency GomSpace https://lnkd.in/dMwiYRJa
