Apr 1, 2017 at 2:59 comment added analogsystemsrf The "salas" design operates the first NJFET at 10-15mA, with 7 volts on the drain, into a bipolar cascade to avoid hot-electron noise (avalanching) in the NJFET at high (30 volt) Vdrains. As you know, 2 such NJFets would reduce noise floor by 3dB.
