How does it know whether you mean flowing from top to bottom or bottom to top? Read what the guys are saying.

Sep 11, 2022 at 11:54 comment added Justme If you reverse the diode connection it does not change anything, to the diode itself, it will still conduct forward current when forward biased, no matter if the forward bias direction is left or right.
Sep 11, 2022 at 11:42 comment added Anay Chadha If I reverse the diode connection the sign for voltage when the diode is conducting changes. However, the current is still positive. So does current never become negative when a diode is there in the circuit?
