Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) DWD Fellowships

The CDC Evaluation Fellowship Program (EFP) is accepting applications for the 2026 class (estimated start date August 2026). Those who participate in the EFP learn evaluation skills while working in their host program to build, expand, and/or improve evaluation activities across the agency. Shaping a Path in Biomedical Science: Hallie Knight’s ASSURE Research Project

An early opportunity to assist with a graduate-level research project became a turning point, transforming Hallie Knight’s curiosity into a clear commitment to biomedical science. Through the ASSURE program, she moved from supporting experiments to leading an independent investigation into how Group B Streptococcus infection disrupts the blood–brain barrier. Undergraduate Research Opportunities: Visual Documentation Lab

The Visual Documentation Lab (Dr. Alexandre Tokovinine) is seeking undergraduate students to volunteer on several digital research projects involving archaeology, 3D modeling, and digital heritage. Headed by Prof. Camille Leon Angelo (Religious Studies), the Late Antiquity Modeling Project (LAMP) is an international, interdisciplinary research collective that uses computational methods to reconstruct the embodied experiences of ancient buildings and landscapes. In so doing, the project crafts more accurate and embodied histories of religious communities across geographic and temporal contexts. Emily Smith has been hanging out along the Potomac for the past two summers, but not as a tourist.  As a participant of the 2022 A&S Professional Development Program in Washington, DC, Emily successfully used her connections and experience to land internships in Washington during the summers of 2022 and 2023.
