Muddle the Orange. Combine the ingredients in a chilled Wine glass filled with multiple pieces of ice and stir until the drink is sufficiently chilled. Garnish with the Mint sprig, and the Orange slice.
One of America's oldest cocktails, credited with popularising the drinking straw in the 1830s. Muddle the orange quarter in the glass before adding sherry and syrup. Fill with crushed ice and stir gently. Garnish lavishly with seasonal fruit and a mint sprig — the visual presentation is part of the drink's identity.
