Hello and welcome to the 155th edition of the Screenshot of the Week!

To start with, congratulations to the winner of the previous contest! Clockwork's screenshot from won with 11 upvotes!

Last week's winning screenshot one

To submit a screenshot, simply post it as an answer to this question, but please take note of the following:

  • One screenshot per post, and one post per person, please!
  • Limited picture modifications are allowed, such as cropping, simple filters, and blurring of identifying info such as names, but not adding other images or text.
  • To ensure a fair playing field, please post screenshots you've taken yourself rather than ones you found online.
  • Stack Exchange’s Code of Conduct still applies - so if it would be unacceptable to post normally, it’s unacceptable here.

Also, try to avoid pictures that include spoilers. We want everyone to be able to enjoy this contest, so the less spoilers the better.

How long will the contest run?

We will accept submissions for a week, until November 24, 2025, then have a second week-long period where only voting will be accepted. This is to give every submission, even those posted at the end of the first week, a chance to be voted on by everyone.

After the end of the second week, at the end of the day on December 1, 2025, we will count upvotes only to determine the winning screenshot, which will be featured for a week on the main site's photo widget.

This week's theme: Instant Regrets

Videogames are wild, or characters are just dumb. Post a screenshot of something the game is asking you to do, but you know you will definitely regret in the near future. Or something you did that you wish you didn't.

(No spoilers!)

As a reminder, we're always accepting suggestions for themed weeks, and have compiled that suggestion process into a question of its own. Additionally, there is the hall of fame you can check out that contains all the previous contest winners.

I feel like the theme description isn't the best - "Post a screenshot of something the game is asking you to do" I don't see a reason why submissions have to be something the game asks you to do, it seems needlessly limiting. Also, people aren't really following that anyway :P Commented Nov 20 at 2:43

Maybe "Post a screenshot of something you did that you wish you didn't" would be better. Commented Nov 20 at 6:23

Oh. Oh noooo...

I hate to break it to you...

... but you really shouldn't hold water buckets while doing redstone.

Never played Minecraft. Can someone explain? 👀 Commented Nov 22 at 13:55

@Clockwork As a sandbox game, Minecraft gives you the tools to build nice things including functional things from as simple as light switches to complex machines like calculators. It uses redstone, which acts similar to real-life electrical circuits. Water buckets are also a useful tool with many uses, the most well known being negating fall damage (aka water bucket clutch). It's why so many players have it on hand all the time. Sadly, just like water doesn't mix well with electricity... neither does it with redstone. Pictured above is the latest casualty of placing water in a redstone machine Commented Nov 22 at 14:18

Basically, redstone dust works as wiring, transferring redstone power around. However, if it touches flowing water, it basically gets un-placed, and you have to re-place it wherever it touched water. Commented Nov 24 at 16:35

Taking the wrong window out of the first building in Slumberland…

Gliding out a window into open air. The room is titled “Big Mistake!”

Big Mistake!” — you fall a few storeys to eventually meet up with where you were, some 5 minutes ago.
