There are two ways to qualify for free access to {% data variables.copilot.copilot_pro_short %}:

• As a maintainer of a popular open-source repository. To check your eligibility, see Accessing {% data variables.copilot.copilot_pro_short %} for free.

What if I don't qualify for free access to {% data variables.copilot.copilot_pro_short %}?

If you do not meet the previous criteria, you can do one of the following:

• Subscribe to {% data variables.copilot.copilot_pro_short %}, {% data variables.copilot.copilot_pro_plus_short %}, or {% data variables.copilot.copilot_max_short %} for a paid plan with access to premium models.
