There are several ways to stay up-to-date with Firefox add-on technology and connected to the worldwide network of creators.

The Firefox Add-ons team holds one-on-one office hours sessions to help you make your extensions available on Android. This is in addition to the Firefox for Android Add-ons forum, where you can seek advice and assistance anytime.

You can also propose changes to the API, both for additions or changes, and assistance with API development. A good place to start is to get familiar with Mozilla’s vision for the API and policies for developing the API.
If you are ready to start contributing to the API, you can onboard to the WebExtensions codebase and read our hacking guide. If you would like to create a new API, either for yourself or for uplift to Firefox, please see WebExtensions Experiments.
Please file new bugs for the WebExtensions API on Bugzilla. You can also use Bugzilla to search for existing bugs filed to the WebExtensions product.
