My GitHub app requires multiple permissions, some of them are write permissions.
Customers want to use our GitHub app only as a read-mode application without any write permissions.
While this is possible by scoping down the access token, the customer would like to have control over which permissions our app can use and not rely on us.
Any suggestions?

How is this not the most requested feature missing from github. I as the installer should have absolute rights to downgrade or revoke specific requested permissions. Even if it breaks the app, I should have the right to block that app from using a permission I don't want it to have.

the only options should not be "just accept it" or "don't install it"
