Would Microsoft be willing to answer regarding the copyright concerns of Co-Pilot's training data at some point? This seems overdue, given so many projects are apparently kind of prematurely integrating Co-Pilot generated code into their projects already. A few more carefully managed projects like Qemu banned gen AI for the unresolved copyright concerns, but most have not.

An easy fix for the copyright problems would be to make repositories opt into being mined for Co-Pilot training data.

These updates look really useful. I like how Copilot is moving beyond just code suggestions into debugging, security, and team collaboration. Features like custom CLI workflows, AI debugging, and MCP integration show how serious GitHub is about making developers more productive. The analytics and Copilot Spaces are also great for teams. Overall, it feels like Copilot is becoming more of a complete development partner rather than just an assistant. Excited to see what gets announced at GitHub Universe 2025.
