Unable to verify Application ( I tried everything!!)

Subject: GitHub Education Benefits Application Repeatedly Denied (OPIT MSc Student)

Hi all,

I’m reaching out because my application for GitHub Education Benefits keeps getting denied. I’ve attempted the verification process around ten times now, and I still haven’t been able to identify the reason for the rejection and I'm getting a little frustrated.

I am currently enrolled as an MSc student at OPIT –(Open Institute of Technology). OPIT is an accredited online/remote university based in Malta. Since the university has no physical campus, there may be a mismatch between my location and the institution’s location, but I’m unable to see what specifically is causing the denial.

The most reliable form of verification would normally be a student ID, but OPIT does not issue physical student ID cards due to being fully online. I have tried submitting multiple forms of official documentation, including:

• Enrollment letter
• Transcript
• Official signed agreement with my name, OPIT’s name, and dates
• Course enrollment details
• Grades

Despite providing these documents, my application continues to be rejected without explanation. I’m genuinely struggling because I rely on these tools for my studies, and falling behind is becoming a real concern.

If anyone can help me understand what I’m missing or what specific documentation GitHub requires for online universities like OPIT, I would be extremely grateful.

You may be able to virtually locate your school's address, take a photo of your student information, and attach your student ID. Why do they always provide a reason for my submission failures? Another possibility is that your school is not recognized by GitHub.
