Issue Uploading Educational Documents

Hi everyone,

Hello everyone,

I am unable to access the educational benefit because all of my school documents are available only in digital format. The system requires documents to be uploaded via camera, but I do not have physical copies to photograph. And, yes, I have done everything else that Github asks to receive this benefit.

Could you please advise on an alternative way to submit my documents, such as uploading digital files or sending them through another platform?

It has been mentioned in these forums before that students at paperless universities can use the following methods:

• Photo of a Monitor: Open your document on a high-resolution monitor or laptop screen. Use your phone or webcam to take a "live" photo of that screen. GitHub staff in Discussion #52070 and Discussion #151435 explicitly recommend this, stating: "If you are taking a photo of a screen try to have it as large a resolution as possible - take a photo of the evidence on a monitor... rather than a phone." Turn the monitor's brightness up and avoid glare/reflections, as the AI will reject blurry or unreadable text.

• Print it out: If you have access to a printer, print the document and take a photo of the physical copy. GitHub staff suggests this as a more reliable alternative to screen photos because it eliminates screen glare and moiré patterns that can trip up the automated AI. Make sure that your full name, school name, and a current date are clearly visible.

• Official Support Ticket: If the automated system fails after multiple attempts, you must request a manual review. Go to support.github.com/contact/education, select Student Verification, and explain that your institution only issues digital documents. You can then attach the original PDFs directly to that ticket for a human agent to verify.

Please, do not use third-party virtual cameras or "hacks", those can trigger security flags on your account.
