Hi, Billing and refund requests like this aren’t handled through GitHub Discussions, so you’ve already done the right thing by opening support tickets. For subscription mistakes (like purchasing GitHub Pro instead of Copilot), GitHub Support is the only team that can review usage and approve a refund. Since you mentioned the subscription wasn’t used and the request was submitted immediately, this is usually something they can help with. At this point, the best next steps would be: Wait for a response from the existing tickets (no need to create duplicates) If it’s been several weeks, reply to one of the open tickets to ask for an update Keep an eye on the email associated with your GitHub account, as replies often go there Community members don’t have visibility into billing systems, but once a billing agent picks this up, they should be able to clarify the refund status. Hope this gets resolved soon. |

Hello GitHub Team and Community,
I would like to ask for assistance regarding a billing issue that has not yet received a response.
On December 19, 2025, I intended to purchase GitHub Copilot, but unfortunately I mistakenly purchased GitHub Pro (1-year subscription) instead. As soon as I realized the mistake, I immediately submitted refund requests through GitHub Support.
However, until now, I have not received any response or update regarding my tickets.

I would like to request a refund for the GitHub Pro subscription, as it was purchased unintentionally and has not been used. My original intention was only to subscribe to GitHub Copilot.
I would really appreciate it if the GitHub team could help review my case or provide an update on the status of my refund request.
