Hi GitHub / VS Code Team 👋,
I’ve been a big fan of GitHub and VS Code, and recently built a VS Code extension inspired by your products.
The goal was to explore how GitHub / VS Code–style developer content could live directly inside the editor, improving the developer reading flow without context switching.
Right now, the extension:
• Displays curated article cards inside VS Code
• Clicking a card opens a detailed view with smooth in-editor UX
• Uses mocked/public news data intentionally — my focus was on UX, architecture, and interactions
Before taking this further (API integration, polish, or Marketplace submission), I wanted to ask:
• Would you be open to feedback or guidance on aligning this with GitHub / VS Code?
• If collaboration makes sense, I’d love to discuss API usage or contribution possibilities
• I’m also happy to walk through the code or have a technical discussion/interview if helpful
I’m not planning to publish this independently — my intent is to build something meaningful with or for GitHub / VS Code if there’s interest.

Thanks for building such amazing tools — I’d love to learn from you and contribute if possible.
Best regards,

Mani
